Freshers 2025

When you register at Ulster University you are automatically a member of the Students’ Union (UUSU). We are here to Represent, Support and Connect you whilst you are studying. We have loads of events planned for Freshers’ Week.

Your Student Officers are elected every year to represent you, the students of Ulster. They work to champion the issues that matter to our members and work to ensure the student experience is as rewarding as possible.

Nominations Open: 15th September 9am - 8th October noon; Online

Welcome to UUSU. Mon-Fri of Welcome Week: 15th September 11:30am - 19th September 1:30pm; UUSU Social Space; Visit your UUSU social space before the Semester kicks off. Monday to Friday during Welcome Week.

UUMCU football: 17th September noon - 1pm; DSV pitches; We're kicking off football for the year at the DSV pitches from 12-1pm! (All footballing abilities welcome) C U there!

Give it a Try: 17th September 3pm - 5pm; Campus Sports Centres; Whether you're already heavily involved in sport, are coming back to sport, or want to try something completely new, this Give It A Try session provides you with a chance to meet the students leading our university clubs and find out more

CORE Intro: 17th September 6pm - 11pm; Rock Road Social, Derry Campus; Come on down to an introduction to the CORE society!
